In 1997 the District 11 Alumni Association requested a special stamp cancellation from the United Postal Service to celebrate its annual Homecoming. Cindy McPeak class of 1976 was commissioned for the original artwork for the cancellation. In 2017 the Association discontinued its stamp cancellation due to the amount of paper work involved in the request.
