Mary Lou Cargill Memorial Library Fund

Mary Lou Cargill worked thirty-two years for the Shidler District 11 Public School system as a teacher, librarian, and educator. In her tenure with the district she promoted her love of reading and the benefits of a well run library to hundreds of knowledge hungry students. Mary Lou spent many days contacting students after hours to encourage individuals to develop their own love of literature and the joy of reading.
The Cargill family has entrusted the Alumni Association memorial funds to help support and fund items that will benefit both the high school and elementary Accelerated Reading program. Guidelines have been established for the use of these monies and is prepared to disburse amounts for items as they are requested by the Shidler District 11 Public School Librarian/Media Specialist.
